d2 unit 14

My protocol i used was Bluetooth there are many positive and negative points to do with Bluetooth.

  • The positive points are
  •  It quick and easy
  • you can be at other ends of a room and it will still send
  • the picture is normally clear and not fuzzy
  • however the negative points are
  • it can sometimes take ages depending on the memory span on your phone
  • the picture may come through to big or to small and in result on this being fuzzy
  • it wont send if your too far away in distance
  • it can take ages for you to find the pair you want
  • on some phones you need a code to pair with someone else ( which takes time)
  • its free

Other than Bluetooth though you can use picture message which is just sending the message in a text which is not so good though because the picture normally comes out rubbish and it costs which will take credit off you and will go over if your on contract..

you may come across some viruses on your computer or laptop. this may be a problem because you will not be able to do your work as it will swipe all your data.
password theft can be one as they can hack into all your data and erase it. also everything you have done will be lost.
crashes can be a problem as you may not of saved your work then it crashes and you loose it all. this may be due to the server.
as well as power cuts can be the same as not saving your data then you have an un-expected power cut  everything will erase.

The risk and safety issues using blog sites and networks are that people such as  key loggers  can steal your passwords and everything you are typing. Therefore can see what you are typing and take your password and hack into and steal your identity.
also back all your files up so they are protected so no one will be able to gain access to your work. as well as when you leave do not leave yourself logged on so people can get onto your account.

It is good to change your passwords every know and again. just for the simple fact no one will ever guess them. don't make them personal things to you as people like close friends may now and hack into. so do something no one will guess.
Also tell no one your password keep it safe to yourself.
Key loggers get into your personal information by you opening notifications that are viruses.
By you putting personal details up on Facebook such as if you go on holiday by putting a status on Facebook telling people your going away will suggest your house is free so people will burgle your house. So all valuables will be lost.
people can also be bullied. this is called cyber bullying. this is were people say horrible things to you over the internet.

prevent these by;

  • changing your password
  • log off
  • using proper anti virus software protection

 A Blog site is an effective way of communication with a large company because it has its own programmer to write on like a word document (e.g power-point)
You can upload documents as images so there are easier to view and bigger to view. Also you can comment on friends work and give them feed back,that is being social Active. You can see what they are posting and also post back and give them feed back on that.
As well you can receive emails and send emails to other people,this is an easy way to communicate. A blog spot becomes useful in school subjects for example ICT, you can upload your work for your teachers to view easily and watch your progress. blog site has a connection with Facebook and twitter also you can email other peoples documents or pictures to your self if you need them or think they are good.
 G mail is needed to sign in to blogger but that is an easy process to do and then that gives you a wider range of email addresses.

IT TEACHER-

You need certain skills to be this such as ;

confidence because you need to talk to a class and understand others because you would want someone who knows what there talking about to others or you will mis-understand them.

talkative because you need to discuss things with the class so they now what they are doing so they do not get confused and stuck and they can get straight on with what there meant to be doing.

planning/organisation because you need to plan a lesson and know what you are doing aswell as your students. its good to plan a-head of yourself so you can have time to yourself and dont get stressed.

tolerant because you need to be polite and put up with others and they will be the same with you, its respect.

communication because you have to make points clear so others understand and if you communicate well with them they will get on with what work is set, and you can relax and help if needed.

dependable because you need be reliable & trustworthy to be able to plan a lesson and know what you are doing so students relay on you for it.

team worker because you have to work with others as a class and help them when they are stuck, this is good communication.

attitude because you need to be patient with the students and being able to handle stuff, you cannot be short tempered and loose it or you will probably get sacked.

  • Student with internet access- Student who needs a mobile phone with internet access- Students will need a phone with internet access in case they haven't got any other technical devices like a laptop, iPod  iPad or anything easy to access etc.. Having internet on your phone can help your education because you can use the internet to search things, that you really need help with to find the answers.

The positive things about a student having a mobile with internet access- It provide us to use internet at very low cost. In case of an emergency, it will also bring your education up and help you with anything you need help with.

The negative things about a student having internet access is it will distract you from what your meant to be focusing on so you will not have enough time to finish it for the deadlines .It also may cost so you will waste money when you can just connect to the internet for free.

  • Journalist who needs a electronic tablet when on location- This is helpful because he could track where he is going, in case he gets lost. it would also take you the fast route so you would save petrol and money.
Positive- If he sees any story's he can send them to his boss for useful information, because there would be a map on the tablet if you get lost.

Negative- could interrupt him on the things when he is busy and he is meant to do, and he could get caught on to doing something else that he is not meant to do therefore would distract him and put him off.

  •    Self employed builder who is new to technology and has £600 to spend on a laptop for invoicing- This could help because if the builder needed anything to help him with his technology he could order it straight away and it would come to him within days.
The positive things about a self employed builder who is new to technology and has £600 to spend on a laptop for invoicing- Oder things straight away, and expect them to come straight away. he can then get his work finished and completed before deadlines so he can get on with other things.

negative- could be spending more money than you are expecting too you will just waste money when its not needed, and you could be on a low cost whilst saving money and spending it on something else.

Justify the protocol transmission type you used. Ensure you find positive and negative aspects for the protocol and suggest a second way you could have sent the contact.

positive;
the protocol transmission i used was Bluetooth when i sent a photo through Bluetooth to a friend. the positive aspects are that the other person got it for free, they did not have to pay for it which is good for them. also, it is very secure so no one can hack into it, you can create a password for it. you can switch Bluetooth on and off so no one can find you when its off and just switch it on when you wan to be found. bluetooth also does not drain your battery, which is a good thing because you can then do more.

negative;
bluetooth can only be used in a certain distance which is bad because you have to be near the person if you wanted too send them a data file. bluetooth is also very slow so it will take a while to transmit your data across to others.

instead of bluetooh another way you can send yoru data is through email it is much faster and takes 2 seconds to attach a file. the file size is also bigger so you can see it clearer and better.

m3 unit 14

The methods to prevent all those problems could be measuring the chair so you can sit straight and up right and so that you are comfortable and can work easily where you sit and how you sit. Health and safety issues are all okay, so that you are okay with what you are doing and you are not getting aches anywhere in your body. Also other health and safety issues making sure the computer is in the right position for you to see clearly so it is clear and you can understand it all without difficulty.

Spending too much time on the computer can also affect your social life. Many people spend less time actually taking to their friends and more time texting and on social networking sites.  Using your computer all the time can also cause problems to the environment. It uses electricity which could be used for something more efficient  Also many people leave their computers on standby which wastes electricity when there is no need too.

Spending to much time on the internet can cause cyber bullying, this has been helped because it has all been said so less people have been using the internet. This will lead to hardly any cyber bulling across the internet now

.
Also, spending too much time on the computer can seriously damage your eyes, so making the screen better than it is can help your eyes, so the computer right in front of you is not lighting through your eyes.

As well, as your eyes your hands can also be damaged if you do not have an arm rest to protect them. you can cause lumps to appear in your hands which causes problems with your wrists. they are called gangling's. this is boons popping out of your skin.

you can prevent this because company's have rules, regulations and police's. also, by training before you start the course will help because if you train properly you will be able to do the course and fly through it without any problems.

Company's can tell their colleagues to take regular breaks to prevent eye strain. this is all part of training.

What are the main differences when comparing the two technologies described for P4?  Think about the speed of the transmission, costs and coverage.

The main differences are with a mobile is you cannot connect if you were in the middle of a countryside. You could send a picture message through 3g but it will cost and it isn’t that big, it comes out small. The best method is too send it through email and making your phone the hotspot because sending it through email does not cost and it comes out bigger than your phone. The final way of doing it is uploading it to your computer then transferring it through email.

m2- Unit 14

The main difference from sending something from a location off his smart phone and from his home using broadband would be that sending something from his own home would not cost and it would send faster but if he sent something using his phone it could cost. it depends on what technology your using and depends on how fast your phone is too send something too someone, 3g or wireless connection is. The file sizes matter because if your sending a picture it has to be clear instead of through picture message with a small size where as if you send it through email it is a big size and is much clear too see.

How do protocols and devices keep data safe?

There are many reasons on how to keep your protocols and devices keep your data safe such as..

  • A password is helpful as it will keep your data secure, for example a password which no-one will figure out and you can remember it; try use a various of numbers or lower and upper case letters.

  • ENCRYPTION
  • encryption is a process where you can transfer infromation where you are the only one able to read it. It is usually referred to as a key.
